Our Mission
The Autism Service Center of San Antonio was founded in the summer of 2008 in order to help meet the needs of the growing number of children with autism in the San Antonio area. The center does business as the “Autism Community Network”, a name which emphasizes the focus on community collaboration and networking.
The mission of the Autism Service Center of San Antonio is to maximize the potential of children with autism by leading a collaborative effort to facilitate autism awareness and services throughout the San Antonio area with an emphasis on early diagnosis and providing services to underserved young children and their families.
Service Priorities:
• To provide interdisciplinary diagnosis and treatment to young children with ASD
• To provide education and training to autism service providers
• To provide comprehensive information and referrals for families and professionals
The Autism Community Network seeks to utilize and enhance existing autism services in San Antonio rather than replacing or competing with what is already in existence. The overarching, long-term vision of the Autism Community Network is to become the “hub” for collaboration of autism services in San Antonio.
